TROFEO BINDA - WOMEN'S WORLD CUP; TOMORROW'S STARTING LIST

Tomorrow, Sunday 27 March, 160 athletes from 28 teams will set off from Cittiglio on the first stage of the Women’s World Cup, trofeo Alfredo Binda, organised by Cycling Sport Promotion. Mario Minervino, president of CSP had the following to say: “we have worked hard to prepare an event in the tradition of the Binda trophy and worthy of the World Cup; now we leave centre-stage to the athletes and teams. We would like to congratulate Marianne Vos who just won the World Champion scratch title on track, she won the last two editions of our race”.

Just to mention some of the names at the starting line tomorrow: Andrea Graus, Austrian Champion, Liesbet De Vocht, Belgian Champion, Joelle Numainville, Canadian Champion, Emma Pooley, British Champion, Krisztina Fay, Hungarian Champion, Veronica Leal Balderas, Mexican Champion, Loes Gunnewijk, Dutch Champion, Lise Nostvold, Norwegian Champion, Margorzta Yasinska, Polish Champion, Tatiana Antoshina, Russian Champion, Polona Batagelj, Slovenian Champion, Emma Johannsson, Swedish Champion, Nina Ovcharenko, Ukranian Champion, Mara Abbott, US Champion and naturally Monia Baccaille, Italian Champion, who will be dressed in tricolour to celebrate 150 years of Italian Unity. We will also have the British Olympic Champion, Nicole Cooke, British World Time Trial Champion, Emma Pooley, European Champion, Noortje Tabak from the Netherlands and Shara Gillow, new Oceania Champion.
