The Binda Trophy is a great happening. First of all, it is in fact a cycling race with all female champions ready to challenge each other on one of the most important events of the year. Moreover, it is also a local event, since the institutions from time to time use the pages of Rosacittiglio to welcome the supporters and remember how important this sport challenge is for the whole region.

This week is the turn of Dario Galli, President of the Varese provincial administration, who says the organisation of sport events (particularly cycle races) is going on, after the last September World Cup, and the continuity is well represented by the Women’s World Championship together with the organising skills of Cycling Sport Promotion.

The Binda Trophy is also supported by many other activities created by CSP, which are the setting of the main event: there is, for example, a photographic competition called “Bellezza in bicicletta” (“Beautiful Women On Bike”, ndt) and “Il ciclismo femminile ieri e oggi” (“Yesterday’s And Today’s Women’s Cycling”, ndt), another happening which cuts on the Cittiglio, Gemonio and Brenta schoolboys.

On the fifth issue of Binda Trophy official newsletter, there are the competition regulations in details, together with all the other collateral February events, culminating with the official World Cup preview on February 28 at Villa Frascoli in Laveno.
