Scrolling through the list of participants, all the protagonists of recent years will be found, all the athletes who are admired by millions of fans from around the world. This year, cyclists from the following countries will be at the starting line: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Belarus, Brazil, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, New Zealand, Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic, Russia, Slovenia, Spain, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine and USA, representing all five Olympic continents on the roads of the Trofeo Binda 2012! The main focus, however, will be the race between Dutch rider Marianne Vos and Emma Pooley from Britain, both winners of two of the last four editions. Alongside them will be world champion Giorgia Bronzini, who has already caused disappointment to her rivals on numerous occasions. Indeed, there is a promising fourth athlete who was in excellent condition in Colombia, she is Noemi Cantele, the Italian champion from Varese. It would delight the whole province if she were to raise her arms in victory on Sunday, 25 March at the end of the Trofeo Binda. Then there's a whole world of other cyclists who dream of success in the Trofeo Binda, the kind of success that could change their careers and future in cycling RAI RAI is also preparing its cameras, microphones and monitors. The commentary on the Trofeo Alfredo Binda will be broadcast on Sunday, 25 March on Raisport 2 at 19:00 and will be repeated after midnight. There will be a 60-minute slot, conducted by Piegiorgio Severini and Silvio Martinello and directed by Francesca Portinari. Then there's the debut of TWITTER. This year's Trofeo Binda will be particularly high-tech, in fact the second round of the 2012 World Cup will also be commented on twitter. Anyone who wants can follow TROFEOBINDA, selecting it as a favourite from your own account, or by typing www.twitter.com/trofeobinda: you will receive official communications from the organisers, Cycling Sport Promotion. Moreover, the official hashtag is #TRBINDA. With this hashtag anyone can comment on the event and see all the action including images that may be uploaded. In this regard, we invite all the spectators and the school children already involved in collateral events to post pictures of the event taken with their mobile devices, using the #TRBINDA hashtag. So everybody connected by PC or mobile device (smart phone or tablet) can experience the event live and intervene with their own comments.
